Mother's Day Gift and Card Ideas

Craft Galore for Mothers Day or maybe just a good friend.

I have had a lovely couple of weeks making craft for the craft stall at my local church, St Mary's North Melbourne.  I spent nights stripping lavender sticks, for our lavender bags, and using my sewing machine making bags and aprons.  It was wonderful connecting with my community while helping to coordinate the Fair and also while standing behind the craft stall.  I also have a market this weekend at St Paul's Canterbury and I am really looking forward to chatting to lovely people.

Some of the crafts I also made was using my "Close to My Heart" products and thought you might like to see what I did.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this "Bunches of Roses" using my trusty Cricut machine to cut out the flowers, then sticking them onto kebab sticks painted green.  Putting them into these cute milk bottles then sticking some ribbon around the bunches and around the bottles.  Don't they look beautiful.

Have you seen a "Wordle" before.  I had fun creating this wordle in a heart shape and printing on Close to My Heart card stock and cutting it out. Yes you can put CTMH cardstock into your printer and the printing is excellent as the paper is of the best grade. I then added ink edging with Close to My Heart Stamp pads and used, on this canvas, the lovely Thistle Twine.

I made lots of different coloured wordles . Blue, Pink, Red and Yellow.  They look lovely.

I then moved on from Mother's Day and decided to try out some General Canvas pictures using my Cricut machine.  I had fun converting cards for scrapbooking to 6" x 6" cards to place on the canvas.  With a bit of bling and coloured paper they transformed into great hanging pictures.

Then the lavender - These are some fantastic bags that I got through Close To My Heart, that I was not sure what I could use them for.  They make the best lavender bags and they sold really well at my market.

Hope you like my ideas about what you can do for your Mum or just a good friend.
If you are interested in purchasing a Cricut machine and not sure where to start - send me a message as "Close to My Heart" have a great deal for Consultants.
